#6 Story Time
Start by sharing the big idea: “God kept Noah safe so His mission could continue.”
Engage: Call out different animals: “Elephants!”(kids stomp),“Birds!” (kids flap), “Snakes!” (kids slither).”white-space-collapse: preserve;” Each group “marches” into the ark together. Just like Noah obeyed God’s command, so should we.
Expound: Tell the Story (5-10 minutes)
1. Mention the historical situation.
2. Begin: “This is a true story from God’s
Word.”
3. Tell accurately with gestures/pictures.

Explain (Before or after the story – not during):
1. Share insights and biblical principles.
2. Compare with Jesus or NT when appropriate.
3. Identify Christian virtue(s): Obedience – We follow God even when others don’t.

Do 2 or 3 of the following as time permits. The teacher does not have to do everything listed – just choose according to the time permitted.

Materials Needed
1 sheet of plain printer paper (A4 or Letter size)
Scissors
Glue stick or tape
Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
Optional: scrap paper in brown, blue, and rainbow colors (or just color directly)

Step-by-Step Instructions
Make the Panels
Fold the sheet of paper into three equal sections (like a brochure).
Explain that each panel will show part of Noah’s story.
Left Panel – Noah
Draw Noah standing on grass.
Use markers or crayons to add details (robe, beard, animals)
Center Panel – The Ark
Cut a simple ark shape from another piece of paper (or draw directly).
Color it brown and glue it onto the middle panel.
Draw waves underneath with blue crayon or marker.
Add animals by drawing them or using small cutouts.
Right Panel – The Rainbow Promise
Draw a rainbow across the top of the panel.
Below it, sketch a simple altar (a few stacked stones).
Write “God’s Promise” under the rainbow.
Decorate and Personalize
Encourage children to add clouds, sun, or more animals.
Let them write their names at the bottom to make it their own story craft.
