Engage

Have the kids look in a box that is empty. Close the box and slip in items. Open it again and remind the kids that God made the world.

Materials Needed

  • 1 paper plate

  • Markers, crayons, or colored pencils

  • Scissors

  • Glue or tape

  • Cotton balls, construction paper scraps, stickers (for decorations)

  • Brass fastener (optional, if you want the wheel to spin)

Steps

  1. Divide the Plate

    • Use a ruler and marker to divide the paper plate into 7 equal sections (like slices of a pie).

  2. Label Each Section

    • Write the day number and what God created on that day:

      • Day 1: Light and Darkness

      • Day 2: Sky and Water

      • Day 3: Land, Seas, and Plants

      • Day 4: Sun, Moon, and Stars

      • Day 5: Birds and Fish

      • Day 6: Animals and People

      • Day 7: God Rested

  3. Draw Illustrations

    • Add simple drawings in each section:

      • Light/Dark contrast for Day 1, Clouds, sky, sea for day 2, Plants for Day 3 ect.
