Cut Paper Strips
Cut several strips of construction paper, each about 1 inch wide and 6 inches long.
Use a different color for each generation to make the chain visually distinct.
Label Each Strip
Write one name or phrase on each strip:
Abraham
Isaac
Jacob
Future generations (you can add “God’s people,” or “Jesus,”)
Form the First Link
Take the strip labeled “Abraham,” curl it into a circle, and tape or glue the ends together.
Add More Links
Thread the “Isaac” strip through the Abraham circle, then tape/glue it closed.
Continue with “Jacob” and then “Future generations,” linking each one together.
Decorate the Chain
Add small drawings or symbols (stars for God’s promise, hearts for blessings, bowls for Esau’s stew, etc.) to make each link more meaningful.
